Samuel Oti is a Senior Research Officer and epidemiologist at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) based in Kenya. He is currently earning his PhD in Philosophy in Public Health from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. While at Berkeley, he will study the effectiveness of various community-based interventions at preventing or reducing the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in the slums of Nairobi. His faculty mentor is Will Dow, and his peer mentor is Janelle Downing in the School of Public Health.
