Dr. Anthony Mveyange is currently the Director of Research and Impact at Trademark East Africa (TMEA) Ltd, where he is overseeing research in eight Eastern African countries (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Congo DRC, and Ethiopia) and developing, among others, an impact evaluation strategy for TMEA's programs and projects in the region. Prior to joining TMEA, Anthony worked as a research economist in the development research group of the World Bank group in Washington DC, USA. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark, and two M.A. in Economics from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Colorado State University, USA. Anthony's most recent project, "Temperature shocks and infant mortality: Evidence from the Developing World" explores the direct and indirect effects of temperature shocks on infant mortality.
