Dr. Anthony Mveyange is currently an Agriculture and Rural Development Economist with the Development Economics Research Group at the World Bank Group. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark and his M.A. in Economics from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In 2015, Anthony and Paul Gertler received an EASST grant for their project, "Do Conflicts Delay Local Economic Development in Africa." Anthony's most recent project, "Climate Variability and Infant Mortality: Evidence from the Developing World" explores the direct and indirect effects of climate change on health outcomes.
