The workshop hosted 75 matchmaking participant researchers and "practitioners" with work in more than 23 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The hands-on partnership development event introduced the priorities of the EDI program, and matched promising researcher-practitioner teams together to design new RCTs. More than 24 potential projects have been pitched as a result of the event. New partnerships build momentum to design new RCTs to address key evidence gaps. The program will foster a portfolio to generate evidence of the interventions and institutional reforms that can improve the effectiveness of political and legal institutions and institutional formalization in low-income countries.
