2015 East Africa Evidence Summit6/23/2015
The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) and the East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative are partnering with the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), the World Bank, Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) to host a series of evidence dissemination events in Kenya to commemorate twenty years of randomized experiments in the country. The event will be held July 8-10, 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Evidence Summit will feature several events to showcase rigorous evidence from East Africa, kicking off with the 4th Annual EASST Impact Evaluation Summit, which will highlight research presentations by EASST members, a dissemination of policy lessons gleaned from the portfolio of the Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative (ATAI), and a half day media training workshop intended for researchers to translate evidence for mainstream audiences. In partnership with the above organizations, the Government of Kenya Vision 2030 Directorate will host a high level policy forum that will bring together leading policy makers, development practitioners, and academics from Kenya and abroad to discuss how Kenya can use rigorous evidence to ensure the country reaches its Vision 2030 goals. We would be delighted to have you join us. In order to secure your attendance, please register here at your earliest convenience, and no later than June 30th, 2015.
