July 17-19, 2017, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), the East African Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative, and the Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative (ATAI) partnered to showcase rigorous evidence relevant to East Africa and facilitate new linkages among research partners and policy makers across the region. This event was funded with UK aid from the UK Government and with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This event, the 2017 East Africa Evidence Summit, provided the opportunity for East African researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share latest research findings, discuss study synergies and capacity to scale, learn best dissemination practices, and form meaningful collaborations with a wide array of regional stakeholders working toward a common goal of large scale, positive impact. The summit featured multiple events, including the 6th Annual EASST Impact Evaluation Summit, ATAI’s dissemination of rigorous evidence and policy lessons related to agricultural technology adoption to support food security, and an opportunity for intimate research project feedback strategic planning for researchers within the EASST network. |
